Alejandro Zapata

Member of the Energy, Mining and Natural Resources team. His professional practice focuses on energy, mining and natural resources. He has advised domestic and foreign clients in participating in electrical energy procurement mechanisms such as the Long-Term Energy Contract Auction. He has also advised national clients within their participation in the Reliability Charge auctions, in the elaboration of legal concepts and electrical power supply schemes. He has been part of the regulatory team within transactions involving the sale of power generators, transmitters and distributors in different regions of the country, as well as hydrocarbon exploration fields.

Additionally, he has advised domestic and foreign clients in the implementation of hydrocarbons supply scheme and in the elaboration and drafting of supply and natural gas contracts. He has also helped clients with legal concepts related to the principles and obligations inherent to the provision of the public fuel gas service.
