Accenture snaps up LatAm businesses

Dublin-headquartered consulting group Accenture has hired two Norton Rose Fulbright offices and Philippi Prietocarrizosa Ferrero DU & Uría (Peru) to acquire Australian management consultancy Partners in Performance (PiP), including its Latin American subsidiaries.

Latin Lawyer understands that PiP enlisted teams from Argentina’s Marval O’Farrell Mairal and Philippi Prietocarrizosa Ferrero DU & Uría (Chile) but could not confirm this before publishing.

The deal closed on 29 August. Its value remains confidential.

With the acquisition, Accenture purchased PiP’s subsidiaries in Argentina, Chile and Peru.

The transaction forms part of Accenture’s aim to strengthen its presence in more diverse industries, including metals and mining, oil and gas, utilities and chemicals. PiP’s 400 employees will join Accenture.

This is not Accenture’s first acquisition of Latin American assets. Last month, the company purchased Spanish AI-powered management services group Boslan, including its Brazilian subsidiary. Last year, it bought Brazilian cybersecurity company Morphus.

Founded in 1996, PiP is one of the largest independent consultancies in Australia, with a presence across five continents. The company uses AI and data analysis to offer services for improving companies’ operations including digital transformation, decarbonisation and transactional work.
