PPU assists in $180m loan to BTG Pactual

Philippi Prietocarrizosa Ferrero DU & Uría Chile has assisted MUFG Bank, as administrative agent and lender, in connection with a USD $180,000,000 credit agreement dated 24 June 2024, entered into by Banco BTG Pactual Chile, as debtor, and MUFG Bank and other lenders.

This transaction closed on 28 June and involved the Chilean and US jurisdictions. Mayer Brown acted as counsel to the lender in the US, while Cuatrecasas and Arnold & Porter acted as counsel to BTG Pactual in Chile and the US, respectively.

Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation, Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria (New York Branch), The Korea Development Bank (Tokyo Branch), Standard Chartered Bank, Bradesco Bank, Taiwan Business Bank, The Gunma Bank, Taiwan Cooperative Bank, Offshore Banking Branch, and Chang Hwa Commercial Bank also acted as lenders.

Sebastian Monge acted as in-house counsel to BTG Pactual.
