PPU has been recognized at the IJGlobal Investor Awards 2025 for its role in the financing of the desalinated seawater infrastructure for Minera Los Pelambres. This groundbreaking transaction received two prestigious awards:
- IJGlobal Investor Bond of the Year, Latin America
- IJGlobal Investor Utilities Deal of the Year, Latin America
The financing structure involved the issuance of long-term bonds and a complex multi-tranche arrangement designed to support the construction and operation of a desalination plant and related pipeline infrastructure. This project is critical for reducing freshwater consumption and promoting environmental sustainability in one of Chile’s most important mining operations.
