Philippi Prietocarrizosa Ferrero DU & Uría Colombia has represented Grupo Energía Bogotá in the acquisition of 100% of the shares in Elecnorte, through affiliated companies of Ashmore Management Company.
This transaction was closed on 17 June, where Gómez Pinzón Abogados acted as advisor to Ashmore Management Company.
Grupo Energía Bogotá is dedicated to the generation and distribution of electricity, mainly in the city of Bogotá, and with a natural gas distribution presence in Colombia, Peru, Brazil and Guatemala, with stakes in large companies in the sector and 11 subsidiaries.
