Chile’s CAP buys back desalination plant from Mitsubishi

Chile’s largest iron ore producer Compañía de Acero del Pacífico (CAP) has enlisted Cuatrecasas in Santiago to re-purchase a stake in a local desalination plant from Japan’s Mitsubishi for US$80 million, handing it back control of the asset. Mitsubishi relied on Philippi Prietocarrizosa Ferrero DU & Uría (Chile) for the deal, which closed on 26 December.
