Philippi Prietocarrizosa Ferrero DU & Uría Chile has advised The Bank of Nova Scotia, as administrative agent, and MUFG Bank, Natixis (New York Branch) and The Bank of Nova Scotia, as lenders, in connection with a USD 170,000,000 financing for Ascenty Chile.
The proceeds will be used by Ascenty for the repayment in full of certain existing financings, certain capital expenditures of the Debtor related to certain data centres and for working capital and general corporate purposes.
This transaction closed on 3 October and involved the jurisdictions of Chile and the United States. Mayer Brown acted as New York counsel to the lender; while Magliona Abogados and Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom acted as local and New York counsel to Ascenty, respectively.
