PPU represents Grenergy in sale of shares to Engie Energía

Philippi Prietocarrizosa Ferrero DU & Uría Peru has represented Grenergy Renovables in the sale of 100% of the shares of GR Taruca, GR Paino, GR Huambos, GR Aparic and GR Andino to Engie Energía Perú.

These companies own the “Central Eólica Duna”, “Central Eólica Huambos”, the projects under development “Central Eólica Naira I” and “Central Eólica Naira II”, and a transformer required for the operation of the “Centrales Eólicas Duna and Huambos”, respectively.

The transaction had a value of USD60.3 MM, was signed on 27 October 2023 and closed on 21 March 2024. This transaction also contributes to financing the ambitious strategic plan of Grenergy, a company that operates in Latin America, the United States and Europe.

Engie Energía Perú is part of the ENGIE group, which is one of the leading global energy providers in the energy transition space and one of the world’s largest Independent Power Producers. In Peru, Engie Energía Perú is one of the largest power generation companies with an installed capacity of 2,621 MW.
