Scale Capital has made a significant investment, through Scale Capital Partners IV, its Peruvian subsidiary, in Cala Servicios Integrales and its subsidiaries with the objective of financing an aggressive expansion plan of internet and cutting-edge digital services to more homes in Peru.
The subsidiaries of Cala Servicios Integrales are BSCP Servicios and Fibra Magic.
The target companies of the investment provide the fastest fiber optic internet connection in Piura, Lambayeque and La Libertad, in the north of Peru.
As a result of the transaction, Cala Servicios Integrales issued shares equivalent to 70% of its equity to Scale Capital Partners IV.
Scale Partners was advised on the investment in Peru by law firm Philippi Prietocarrizosa Ferrero DU & Uría, and whose participation involved working under challenging timelines and drafting and negotiating complex documents subject Peruvian law, such as the investment agreement, the shareholders agreement and other ancillary documents of the transaction, the law firm said.
The law firm’s team comprised partner Rafael Boisset, principal associate Victor Abad and associate Jacqueline Febres.
