PPU helps Grupo Energía Bogotá divest shares

Philippi Prietocarrizosa Ferrero DU & Uría (Colombia) has helped Colombian energy company Grupo Energía Bogotá (GEB) sell a 1.43% stake in infrastructure company ISA for 220 billion Colombian pesos (US$73 million).

The public deal was made through a stock exchange sale to various undisclosed buyers and closed on 18 December.

GEB keeps an 0.24% stake in the company, which is majority-owned by the Colombian state.

The divestment is part of GEB’s strategy to sell off shares in non-strategic companies.

ISA develops infrastructure projects focusing on electric power, telecommunication transmission and road concessions.
